Must avoid
Unfortunately, I do have to agree with 99% of the reviewers. Very unprofessional they cause you’re nothing but trouble. Do not go to pure pleasure it’s a simple as that.
Avoid siting your caravan unless you want to be accused!!
Hall More caravan park is a lovely place however i definitly do not recommend the company "Pure Lesuire" that it is run by. Be aware if you are thinking of siting your caravan, as we have been left with no other option than to remove our caravan from the site even though our fees have been paid up front up until February 2023. The group have accused myself and 2 other families of tampering with the electricity meter. Pure Lesuire gave me two options. I either paid £200 to cover costs or we had to remove our caravan from the site or else they would place caravan into storage and we would need to pay weekly charge !! Why would I pay £200 for something that I am not guilty of ? We have removed our caravan however I am trying to get my money back for the 4 months I had left on site. Electricity theft is a criminal offence yet they won't report this ?!! Pure Lesuire are very unprofessional, poor communication - very disappointed!

Appalling company, showers are about as clean as pure leisure reputation
Filthy showers, staff look sooooo miserable.after looking at the other reviews it would seem this place is going downhill fast. Looking at the pure leisure main page there reviews are terrible, people being ripped off, not refunded and spoken to in a Terrible manner. Pure leasure needs shutting down and the more people that go to trading standards the better, how can so many paying customers be treated in such a way? Disgusting.
Nice grounds but disappointing accommodation
We booked a few nights in a static home in Lowther Holiday park. The grounds are stunning and lots of walks by the river and in the woods-you can walk for miles ?
Birds singing, saw bats at night and deer.
However the caravan was disappointing. We had a Gold 3 bedroom which was quite ‘snug’. Quite basic in decoration and to be honest could have been cleaner ☹️. Not very much storage, especially for a family of six! No information in the caravan about the surrounding area and the walks you could do.
The biggest disappointment was NO WIFI! Although there was a smart TV in the caravan it could not connect due to the lack of WIFI.
The website does say there is free WIFI but neglects to tell you it only works in the main car park! On querying this you can ‘buy’ a WIFI connection for £10 for 24 hrs/£15 for 48 hrs but the connection was not stable. When you pay £445 for 3 nights away you don’t want to be paying extra to connect to WIFI.
We did enjoy our stay due to the 50 acre grounds as we like walking, but if you spend lots of time in the caravan the TV is very limited.
Impact on mental health.
I bought a lodge in May and 2 weeks after I was then told it had been sold to another company. This led to the park fees going up £800 a year. When I asked if there was any changes i should know about before purchase they said no so we purchased on this information, we was told that all the snags would be sorted out on the holiday home like replacing the carpets sorting the plumbing out after it flooded and so many other problems. We purchased this as I lost my leg a few years ago and suffer from PTSD so this was supposed to be somewhere we're we went to relax and be at peace but when I have constantly sent emails about the work that they promised on purchase to sort out they don't reply. This has had a massive impact on my mental health and with me loosing leg I just wanted it to be were I could relax but they choose to ignore me still and the person who sold it me just lied to get a sale and knew they was selling to another company, which if i was informed of this i wouldnt have purchased at that point and woukd have waited. My wife and I feel so let down by the lies and the way they continue to ignore us about the repairs. I would never trust these people especially the multi millionaire owner who chooses to take money off a disabled person for his own profit and does not care about the impact it has and is still having on me and the thought that someone could do this to someone who struggles with mental health problems and physical is just awful. They have took our life savings on lies for their own profit and hope other people see this as I would hate this to happen to anyone else and to go through what we are.

We are currently enjoying a family…
We are currently enjoying a family weekend at South Lakes Leisure Village. The lodge is absolutely fantastic, however I feel I need to comment on the terrible service at the Lakeside pub/resteraunt. We went Friday and Saturday to sit outside, Friday we waited for an hour to get served and today, Saturday we gave up after waiting an hour. I must say though that when we finally got our food, it was very good. We saw at least 3 families get up and walk. Surely someone needs to get a grip of the service there, surely it can't that hard.

Yesterday 2/5/2021 my parents were …
Yesterday 2/5/2021 my parents were booked in to stay with Pure leisure at carnforth site.
My father is 85 and mother is 90 years old and have been going here twice a year every year for Last 10 years, Roughly at the cost of £1600 each visit .
Unfortunately my mother has taken ill and cannot travel so my father phoned head office to explain this and to invoke his cancellation policy for a refund only to be told that he is not entitled to any refund because of the short notice to his arrival date.
He explained the circumstances as my mother has dementia along with other ailments and also pointed out his loyalty to Pure leisure and been a regular customer for the last 10 years visiting twice a year roughly equating to over £30,000 Only to be told sorry rules are rules, not even given some sort of alternative.
I find this an appaling way to treat loyal customers never mind pensioner's
who have spent as I said at least £30,000 over a 10 year period with Pure leisure and who have always taken "cancellation cover " but never used It and when they did need it only to be told its no good.
Yes we have all suffered financially and emotionally through covid but I expected more from Pure leisure for an elderly couple.
Shame on you Pure leisure my parents will never use your company again.
And I hope other people also find this treatment appaling and think twice about using your company for a holiday.

Absolutely shocking customer service
Absolutely shocking customer service. Booked a weekend away in good faith for pur anniversary pre covid with cancellation fee on top in case there was any issues. The holiday was cancelled due to covid so we got a credit note. When the park reopened I tried to rebook with my credit note and they tried charging an extra £100 on top of an already expensive lodge. I told them we cant afford that and they said to contact customer relations who have said we have to just re book and can't get a refund!? Either they should grant the original price or stop withholding our money which is very unfair especially at the moment when everyone is struggling to get by as it is due to covid.
THIS COMPANY OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF…
THIS COMPANY OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES! HOLDING BACK CUSTOMERS MONEY WHEN THEY HAVE CANCELLATION COVER THEN IMPLEMTEMENTING THEIR OWN T&C'S SUGGESTING THAT BECAUSE THEY HAVE CLOSED AND THIS IS UNTIL JUNE, BECAUSE MY BOOKING WAS FOR EASTER THAT I ONLY GET 20% OF MY TOTAL HOLIDAY COST BACK! CANCELLATION COVER IS IN PLACE IF I CANCEL MY HOLIDAY, FELL END HAVE CANCELLED MY HOLIDAY AND AS ADVISED I DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER DATES WITHIN 12 MONTHS I CAN ATTEND DUE TO OTHER HOLIDAY COMMITMENTS FOR EASTER 2021! PLEASE BE CAREFUL BOOKING ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY, I WILL BE CONTACTING MY CREDIT CARD PROVIDER & THE OMBUDSMAN ABOUT THIS - WE ARE ALL STRUGGLING AS PER THIS SITUATION BUT DO NOT APPRECIATE MY MONEY BEING HELD BACK WHEN I HAVE A YOUNG FAMILY TO FEED AND NO INCOME!

**Buyer Beware**
**Buyer Beware**
We bought a static caravan with this Company in Dec 2016 on their Silverhill Holiday Park.
Following severe drainage problems in Nov 2017 which left us with raw sewage both inside & outside our caravan we contacted their Customer Service department raising our issues. Emails, & signed for letters were ignored by the Company, until some 10 months later following the intervention of National Association of Caravan Owners (NACO).
Further issues, including further drainage problems arose following - and yet again the Company chose to ignore our communications and concerns. Subsequently we are no longer Customers of this Company.
The first problem & their lack of interest was bad enough, but the continuation of their appalling Customer Service just goes to prove that this is a Company
that will take your money - and then has absolutely no regard for its Customers.
